Draft for business/legal review. This policy describes how SmartGrowth.Consulting DBA SegPIE ("SegPIE", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information.
Scope and roles
SegPIE processes information for account administration, billing, security, product operations, support, and website/product analytics. When a customer creates a survey or research project, the customer generally determines the purpose and content of that collection, and SegPIE processes respondent information to provide the service.
Information we collect
We may collect account and profile information, organization and workspace information, contact and support communications, billing and transaction metadata, survey/project content, respondent submissions, device/browser and diagnostic information, product-usage events, integration information, and information supplied to or produced by AI-assisted features.
How we use information
We use information to provide, secure, maintain, and improve SegPIE; authenticate users; process subscriptions; host surveys; collect responses; generate reports; provide support; detect fraud or abuse; comply with law; and enforce agreements.
Survey creators and respondents
Survey creators are responsible for their surveys, audiences, notices, consents, legal basis, and downstream use of results. Respondents with questions about a customer-controlled survey should usually contact the survey creator first.
AI-assisted processing
SegPIE may offer AI-assisted creation, summarization, categorization, analysis, and recommendation features. Current production code uses Google Gemini for AI report generation. Customers should not submit regulated or highly sensitive data to AI features unless SegPIE expressly supports that use.
Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
SegPIE does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, SegPIE will update this policy and provide required notices or choices.
Retention and deletion
We retain information as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Workspace owners may request deletion through support. Billing, tax, fraud-prevention, security, support, audit, backup, and legal records may be retained when required or operationally necessary.
Children
SegPIE does not market to children under 13. Customers must not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Anonymous youth feedback is permitted only when configured so personal information is not collected.
Security
SegPIE uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards such as TLS, authentication, access controls, server-side secrets, audit logging, webhook signature checks, and backup procedures. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.
